Born Ilo Franklin on the 12th day of
July 1989 in Lagos, ILL-O is an intriguing and versatile artist who can
be best described in one word as being “ILL”. As a young kid, he had a
passion for music most especially hip-hop. Growing up, the passion would
remain as he gave so much listening ears to rappers like Ja Rule,
Jay-Z, Nas and the Notorious BIG which explains his detailed manner of
expression.
In 2009, with few months to the end
of his final academic session, a new passion is ignited in him as a
result of the influx of new acts in the Nigerian music industry which
cemented the growth of Hip-Hop in Nigeria. Poised to leave his own
legacy, ILL-O has chosen Rap as his means of expression. Under the
label, Real’a Men Music, ILL-O is determined to achieve this aim and
make the world remember the name.
After dropping his ‘Get High’ Remix
in March 2012, the young rapper is out with the video for his hot and
dope single. The video was shot by Nigeria’s leading music video
production outfit- Capital Hill Studios. ‘Get High Remix’ features
Mindful and a set of Nigeria’s most credible rappers- Terry Tha Rapman,
